Flexible and rollable side walls for subways, commuter trains, metros and trams

Side walls for more space and comfort in the gangway area.

Flexible side wall

In the 1990s, HÜBNER developed flexible side walls for mass transit gangways and successfully established them as a valuable product in the market. These walls serve as an inner lining for gangways, adjusting to all vehicle movements, arching and stretching as required. The lining covers the bellows in the gangway area and has a noise-absorbing effect.

In addition, the flexible side wall has the advantage that there are no moving edges in the inner space, thanks to its construction design.

Rolling side wall

Another HÜBNER development in this area came on the market in 2011 with the rollable side wall. In comparison to the flexible side wall, the rollable side wall provides even more space in the gangway area for passengers to pass through. It also has a lower weight, which results in energy savings. Both types of side walls can be given a customized look – for example, with a particular paint finishing or the application of a decorative film.
