HEMSCHEIDT Rail sharpens its profile as a solutions provider for rail systems -HÜBNER Group company with new brand identity

HEMSCHEIDT Rail – this is the new company name under which HEMSCHEIDT Engineering GmbH & Co. KG will be presenting itself from now on. With this relaunch of the company and brand, the HÜBNER Group company is emphasizing its expertise as a specialized producer for the rail industry. The new name highlights the company’s transformation from an engineering services provider to a comprehensive supplier of system solutions. For current customers nothing will change – established contacts and ordering processes will remain in place under the familiar corporate designation.

Focus on product solutions for the rail industry

HEMSCHEIDT Rail produces innovative components and systems for the front end, bogie and inter-car areas of rail vehicles. With these solutions, the company has established itself as a specialist for hydraulic actuators, anti-roll bars and upper articulations. Currently, more than 20,000 HEMSCHEIDT Rail systems are in use around the world.

“With the new name HEMSCHEIDT Rail, we are underlining our position as a leading supplier of rail vehicle components and as a specialist in the rail industry for stabilizers, bogie components, special dampers and articulation systems,” says Christopher Sames, Managing Director at HEMSCHEIDT Rail. “We offer a comprehensive and customized service to our customers – from the individual development of solutions through to after-sales support.”

Extensive product portfolio for modern rail technology

With many years of experience and in-depth technical expertise in the fields of hydraulics, mechanics, and electronics, HEMSCHEIDT Rail understands what customers need and acts as a reliable partner both for OEMs and for operators in the rail sector.

The company portfolio includes advanced solutions such as mechanical and hydraulic anti-roll systems that ensure optimal ride dynamics and improve vehicle stability. In the area of articulation systems, the company offers a wide range of variants – from yaw articulations to pitch articulations to complex yaw-roll-pitch articulations that are ideal for articulated trains or trams with particularly dynamic operating demands.

Impressive development in the Group

Since its integration in the HÜBNER Group in 2017, HEMSCHEIDT Rail has succeeded in developing from a small supplier of hydraulic components for bogies into an established system provider for the rail industry.

“The new brand presentation is a logical step in this transformation and highlights the success story of our company in the rail industry as a whole. We are proud of the path HEMSCHEIDT Rail has taken in the sector in recent years,” sums up Martin Sames, also a Managing Director at HEMSCHEIDT Rail. “Today, the company is a creative manufacturer for the rail sector and a specialist within the HÜBNER Group, offering wide-ranging capabilities in hydraulics, mechanics and electronics that we put to use for our customers.”

A particular focal point of HEMSCHEIDT Rail’s development work centers on hydropneumatic suspension and damping system as an alternative to pneumatic bogie systems working with compressed air. This technology holds the promise of offering significant benefits in energy efficiency in rail operations.

A specialist in the HÜBNER Group

As a part of the HÜBNER Group, HEMSCHEIDT Rail belongs to the division Mobility Rail – a fact that has now been made more evident in the new company name. “For our customers, the new presentation will not change the way we work together. They will continue to benefit from our expertise and from the strong global network provided by the HÜBNER Group,” explains Brian Biernat, Sales Manager at HEMSCHEIDT Rail. “At the same time, the new name makes it all the more clear what we stand for: innovative systems solutions for rail transport.”

The new brand will be showcased in the coming months at upcoming trade fairs: TRAKO in Gdańsk, Poland (23-26 September 2025), Expo Ferroviaria in Milan, Italy (30 September - 2 October 2025), and Rail Live in Madrid, Spain (26-28 November 2025).
