Good prospects for a professional future
“Even in economically challenging times, we at HÜBNER are sticking to our path: We continue to train skilled employees ourselves and give young people good prospects for their professional future,” emphasizes Claus Schäfer, Managing Director of the HÜBNER Group. HÜBNER is thus following the general trend and focusing on bundling training offers in the industrial and commercial sectors towards a concentration on generalist, future-oriented job profiles.
Among the new trainees are two industrial clerks, two industrial mechanics, machine and plant operators, as well as one digitization management clerk and one IT specialist for system integration. In addition, there are three technical college interns – one in the industrial and two in the commercial sector. In addition, two former trainees are starting a dual course of study in the field of industrial engineering with a specialization in mechanical engineering.
A total of 40 trainees at the Kassel site
The five professions in which training will be provided this year reflect the needs of the Kassel location and take particular account of increasing digitalization. Currently, around 40 young people are completing their training at HÜBNER in Kassel.
Barbecue to get to know each other and workshop to get started
To get started, the new trainees have the opportunity to get to know the other trainees and trainers at a joint barbecue party. This is followed by a one-week introductory workshop, in which the junior employees receive an introduction to the company’s history, product portfolio, values and culture, as well as practical tips for everyday work. The programme also includes the first steps in the new IT systems with which the trainees regularly work on their personal laptops.
“We are looking forward to our new colleagues, who can expect a lot of variety during their training at HÜBNER,” says Kim Hagemann, HR Specialist and responsible for coordinating training at HÜBNER. “Because it is important to us that trainees gain insights into the many different areas of the company – more than just the content of the respective apprenticeship, but also, for example, in the context of foreign assignments at HÜBNER’s locations worldwide.”
