HÜBNER’s gangway systems for regional trains provide maximum safety and comfort between train cars. They are supplied as complete systems with single or double corrugated bellows as well as bridge components. They can be individually adapted to meet each operator’s and vehicle’s requirements.

Our gangway systems for regional trains consist of modular components that can be flexibly combined to meet the specific requirements of the vehicle type, the transit operator, and the service area.
Corrugated bellows systems
HÜBNER corrugated bellows systems are supplied as complete inter-car solutions that are precisely matched to the overall vehicle contour.
The corrugated bellows feature a highly resilient design that is weather-resistant and built for long-term use in passenger service. For regional trains, pressure-tight configurations are used that withstand the fluctuating aerodynamic pressure loads occurring in regional service.
All materials meet applicable fire-safety standards (e.g. EN 45545, HL1–HL3, NFPA 130, etc.).
Depending on the technical demands, the corrugated bellows may have a single layer (single corrugated bellows) or a double layer (double corrugated bellows).
- Single corrugated bellows: Compact design, low weight, cost-efficient solution.
- Double corrugated bellows: For more demanding requirements in acoustic and thermal insulation.
Bridge systems
Various bridge systems are available to ensure safe and comfortable passage between cars. They are all compliant with EU TSI PRM accessibility standards and can be customized for different vehicle designs.
Bridge plates: Compact and robust solution for basic requirements and limited installation space. Equipped with low-friction materials for a long service life.
Linking bridges: An enhanced design for more comfort and easier maintenance. The hinged design allows for quick maintenance access and provides gap-free, reliable compensation even for extreme vehicle movements.
Combi-bridges: Self-supporting, flexible, and efficient: Combi-bridges adapt to virtually any vehicle movement. They combine outstanding technical performance with a high level of comfort and can be customized with various floor coverings to meet specific customer and project requirements.
Tread plates: Developed specifically for vehicles with Jacobs bogies. They minimize height offsets and ensure a safe, continuous transition between cars.
