The HÜBNER Group Company HEMSCHEIDT Fahrwerktechnik develops high-quality and customized products. The company has been producing shock absorbers since 1929; for more than 20 years it has also been manufacturing hydropneumatic chassis systems as well as articulation systems for commercial vehicles and buses. In addition, the company supplies wheel management systems for the truck and trailer industry.
The chassis technology specialists at V.S.E. Vehicle Systems Engineering B.V. together with the HÜBNER Group company Hemscheidt Fahrwerktechnik make up HÜBNER's business unit Chassis Technology. Based in Veenendaal near Utrecht, VSE was founded in 2001 with the aim of developing electrohydraulic steering and suspension systems for the motor vehicle industry. The systems are used especially to equip vehicles so that they can successfully navigate difficult terrains. In the past years more than 50,000 vehicles in Europe have been equipped with components from VSE.

Independent suspensions for electric buses
HEMSCHEIDT offers an innovative chassis solution for electric buses. Instead of retaining the conventional structure of the power train used with a combustion motor, HEMSCHEIDT takes full advantage of the possibilities emerging with electromobility. A semi-trailing independent suspension in combination with a hydropneumatic suspension system together with an electric wheel hub drive make for more available space in the bus interior while also improving driving comfort.
