HÜBNER Group consolidates its ramp and lift expertise - HÜBNER Transportation GmbH to be fully integrated

The HÜBNER Group, a global systems supplier for the mobility industry, is consolidating its expertise in the ramps and lifts area with a new company structure in its corporate group. As of 1 January 2025, HÜBNER Transportation GmbH (HTG) will be fully integrated into HÜBNER GmbH & Co. KG. HTG’s current staff of approximately 50 persons will continue to be employed and the restructuring will not result in any organizational changes for customers.

Benefit for customers: Increased efficiency through reorganization

HÜBNER Transportation GmbH is among the leading suppliers of ramp and lift systems for buses and trains. Established in 2004, HTG will now be fully integrated into HÜBNER GmbH & Co. KG. “With the integration of HTG as an independent company, we are aiming to create a leaner structure that consolidates our business processes and distributes responsibility internally across multiple shoulders. Greater flexibility, the utilization of synergies and a stable personnel structure are our most important goals. This will also benefit our customers,” explains Uwe Bittroff, Managing Director of the HÜBNER Group with responsibility for the Mobility Road division.

Florian Klotz, currently Sales Manager for Gangways and Entry Systems in the HÜBNER Mobility Road division, will be responsible for the new Ramps and Lifts unit starting 1 January 2025. With the integration of HTG, he will take over from Christian Sahr, who is currently the General Manager of HTG and will retire at the end of 2024.

“For our customers, this reorganization will not result in any changes,” assures Florian Klotz.“We will continue to offer the same range of services with the same high quality standards and excellent service. Our customers will also continue to be able to reach their usual HTG contact persons.”

Optimized knowledge transfer for highly efficient project management

With the integration, the HÜBNER Group is responding to evolving market conditions and customer requirements for product availability and services. Internally, the transfer of knowledge in the areas of vehicle electronics and mechanics will also be optimized. This will facilitate flexible deployment of specialists in the areas of buses, service, ramps and lifts – for even more reliable and efficient project management.

With the incorporation of HTG, the HÜBNER Group is pooling its expertise and competencies to position itself in the best possible way. This step also comes in response to a shortage of skilled workers in the mobility sector.

“Restructuring in the Mobility Road division in this way will help us to position ourselves as a dynamic employer that can offer excellent prospects to current and future employees,”explainsUwe Bittroff. From January 1 next year, HTG’s current workforce of around 50 will continue their employment now for Hübner GmbH & Co. KG and be located at the HÜBNER’s Kassel location as before.

Future-oriented development of the company

Implementation of the necessary changes will begin in October 2024, and the integration of HTG into HÜBNER GmbH & Co. KG should be completed by the end of the year. “We are convinced that the organizational realignment will be beneficial for both the HÜBNER Group and our employees,” explains Uwe Bittroff.“We look forward to working with our new colleagues to serve our common customers for a successful future together in the Mobility Road division.”
