FOR CHRISTMAS HÜBNER IS SUPPORTING THE CHILDREN'S WELFARE ORGANIZATION TERRE DES HOMMES

Kassel, Germany. Social engagement as a firmly anchored element in the company culture: This year with its traditional Christmas donation, the HÜBNER Group will be supporting the international children's welfare organization Terre des Hommes. Terre des Hommes is active in more than 30 countries around the world, supporting children's rights and working against exploitation and discrimination. In Kassel, Patricia Hübner of the Hübner and Kennedy Foundation GGmbH presented a check for €20,000 to the organization's regional representative Rolf Wekeck.

"As a company that is active in a wide range of fields and industries in regions throughout the world, the HÜBNER Group sees itself as an active and integral part of the larger society. And in keeping with this, we also get engaged worldwide," explained Patricia Hübner in making the donation. "Terre des Hommes helps children in desperate situations who have been forced to leave their homes, friends and parents to find a safe haven in a new place. In our view, this is work that is very deserving of support."

Terre des Hommes has made it its mission to protect children against violence and slavery, exploitation, abuse and neglect. The children's welfare organization works to make it possible for children to grow up in a healthy and sustainable environment that will also offer a life of opportunity to future generations.

Terre des Hommes was founded in 1967 by engaged citizens to help severely injured children from the Vietnam War. The organization is independent of any government, business, church or political party and supports more than 430 projects for exploited and disadvantaged children worldwide and in Germany.  More than 1,400 persons in Germany are working on a volunteer basis to help children in need in more than 90 locations together with Terre des Hommes.
