The HÜBNER Group develops and manufactures high-quality upper and lower articulation systems for trams and streetcars. These systems are available both as complete systems in the vehicle gangway and also as standalone components. They securely connect carbodies while providing maximum freedom of movement in curves and stable dynamics during operation.
With HÜBNER’s modular adapter concepts, the articulations can be individually tailored to specific vehicle designs and customer requirements. On request, we also can deliver customized systems that are specifically engineered for a particular vehicle type and project requirements. As always – lightweight, robust and highly durable.
HÜBNER articulation systems: FXpro
With the FXpro series, HÜBNER offers high-performance articulation technology that has been specifically developed for tram applications. The models FX500pro, FX1000pro and FX1500pro deliver a long service life, low lifecycle costs and maximum operational safety – for reliable intercar connections in daily service.

- HÜBNER customers can select the radial spherical bearing FXcore as an especially high-performance independent product solution
- This makes the FXpro series available for all vehicle concepts and articulation systems currently on the market
FXpro - The universal articulation system
- The original – and the starting point of HÜBNER articulation expertise
- With several thousand units in use, the FXpro has set the standard for years as THE reference product for articulation systems
- The FXpro adjusts flexibly to movements and forces with tilt angles of 10.5 degrees (FX500pro) or 6.5 degrees (FX1000pro/ FX1500pro)
FXadd - Adapter variants
- For modular use – with the Adapter variants, FXpro provides the “best fit” for every tram carbody interface
- The various FXadd variants can be flexibly adjusted to standard platforms and vehicle interfaces – asymmetrical designs are also possible

Upper articulation systems
The HÜBNER Group also supplies a range of upper articulation systems (roll, pitch, roll-yaw and roll-yaw-pitch articulations for trams and urban light rail vehicles. These systems connect vehicle segments securely and flexibly – for top performance in handling tight curves, frequent acceleration and varying loads.
Our in-house development and manufacture of rubber-metal components lets us supply customized solutions for optimal integration in existing vehicle concepts.
