HÜBNER General Manager Helge Förster speaks at the Future Tech Days 2021 of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA)

New ideas and innovations: On July 5 and 6 at the Future Tech Days of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) held in Munich, HÜBNER General Manager Helge Förster spoke about future mobility trends in the field of public transport and what makes German medium-sized companies interesting partners for start-ups. The Future Tech Days event provides a platform for established companies and start-ups to come together and initiate partnerships and project collaborations.

"Mobility is currently in the midst of a transformation process," Helge Förster explained. "Tomorrow's public transport in particular will be both more sustainable and more efficient. As a major supplier to the industry, HÜBNER is working every day on new mobility solutions to actively shape this transformation process and support local public transport operators."

Currently HÜBNER is already working on a range of innovative solutions for the mobility sector. These include projects in the field of high-capacity vehicles, sensor technology for city platooning, the integration of flexible displays in high-movement sections of rail vehicles such as gangways as well as expanded digitalization of production processes.

"We are looking forward to receiving input in all four of these areas from start-ups. Here's to shaping the future of public transport together with them," remarked Förster. "In many ways, start-ups are important drivers of innovation and German SMEs are the backbone of the country's economy. Together, that makes for an unbeatable combination."
