Systems and solutions for safety, comfort, convenience and reliability

“HÜBNER is more than just a supplier of articulated bus systems,” emphasizes Managing Director Uwe Bittroff. “As a global supplier, we offer our customers integrated, customized solutions – solutions that make buses and commercial vehicles safer, more comfortable, more convenient and reliable – just as we do for rail vehicles as well.”

With its strong group of companies and extensive product portfolio, the HÜBNER Group provides customers with a very high level of system and solution expertise. With this broad set of competencies, HÜBNER is ready to support vehicle manufacturers and transit company operators on a comprehensive basis. “Our exhibition concept underlines the core competencies of the HÜBNER Group. With our systems and solutions we have the bus as a complete system in focus,” says Uwe Bittroff.

HÜBNER is continuously developing the bus as a key means of transport

For the first time at Busworld Europe, all of the HÜBNER Group companies active in the bus sector will be appearing together at the same exhibition booth. “HÜBNER provides solutions and technologies for buses of all sorts,” says Uwe Bittroff. "Our goal is to continuously develop and improve the bus as a key means of transport and thus to contribute to the mobility transformation.”

The diversity of products offered by the HÜBNER Group makes its portfolio unique. These include:

  • Articulated bus systems (“1.6 meters of the bus”) with articulation systems, folding bellows as well as power guidance systems
  • Technologies for chassis with systems for damping, suspension, steering and wheel guidance as well as hydropneumatic solutions
  • Door safety and sealing systems with finger protection profiles including sensors and sealing systems
  • Convenient and comfortable entry systems for customers and passengers with ramps and lifts
  • New offerings in the area After Sales & Service for consulting, spare parts support, inspections, maintenance, repairs and training

HÜBNER Group expertise bundled at one booth

The following companies are part of the HÜBNER Group and will be present with an international team at Booth 755 in Hall 7:

  • HÜBNER (Kassel, Germany)
  • HÜBNER Transportation (Kassel, Germany)
  • ATG Autotechnik (Siek, Germany)
  • ECUtronic (Dresden, Germany)

As a family-owned company, the HÜBNER Group is independent and is actively doing business around the world through its global network of more than 30 production and sales locations and subsidiaries. This allows for a high level of production and delivery reliability as well as in-depth technical and interdisciplinary exchange across the transport sector. Customers and other Busworld visitors can get a compact overview of HÜBNER’s multi-faceted product world and the comprehensive advantages that the HÜBNER network can provide.

Chassis operating without compressed air – the future of electromobility

HEMSCHEIDT Fahrwerktechnik will be presenting a particular highlight at the HÜBNER booth: A hydropneumatic suspension and damping system that provides substantially more driving comfort and stability.

“Chassis systems operating without compressed air are the future of electromobility,” emphasizes Dr. Mark Wöhrmann, Managing Director of HEMSCHEIDT Fahrwerktechnik. “Our suspension and damping system gives buses a high degree of stability. In addition, the system saves more than two thirds of the energy normally required through the high efficiency of oil as a hydraulic fluid.”

Smart Steering: Steering technology for high-capacity buses

Another innovation is the new steering technology for high-capacity buses. With this technology buses with six or more axles can be intelligently controlled when driving through urban spaces. Without requiring new track infrastructure like a classic tram system, high-capacity buses with the steering system from HÜBNER can transport 300+ passengers, thus providing a highly attractive mobility option.

Digital service support: Fast availability of spare parts

With new digital service offerings, the HÜBNER Group is providing fast and reliable availability of spare parts as well as expert support for repair and maintenance projects. Through its optimized delivery processes and a remote video support service, HÜBNER helps to reduce downtimes so that vehicle availability can be increased.

New material solutions for door safety systems

Greater passenger safety through innovative developments and new material solutions: HÜBNER is presenting innovations for existing door safety and sealing systems that meet the highest requirements, including fire safety standards. In addition, the company is making use of innovative new material formulas. Silicone, for example, provides very reliable functionality in a wide temperature range – even under the most extreme conditions.

Electric or manual: A hybrid entry system for everyone

Mobility for all: The HÜBNER Transportation GmbH (HTG) has developed a new hybrid system that makes it easier for disabled persons to board buses. The particular advantage of the new system: Thanks to the hybrid Double Ramp, transit companies will no longer have to choose between different ramp types that are either operated manually or electrically at the push of a button. The hybrid Double Ramp system combines an electric and manual ramp in one construction, thereby ensuring full accessibility at all times.
