Thorsten Sprenger kept close track of GERSYS in his previous position

Thanks to his many years of experience in a range of business areas at HÜBNER, Thorsten Sprenger is also very well acquainted with the HÜBNER Group as a whole.”
Thorsten Sprenger has a degree in mechanical engineering and has been working for the HÜBNER Group since 2005. Prior to his current position in business development for the Mobility Rail and Road divisions, the 54-year-old manager was head of the Terahertz Technology & Photonics (TTP) area in the HÜBNER Photonics division, which he built up in the manner of a start-up.
Successful development thanks to a strong team
“I find GERSYS’s development in recent years thanks to the strong performance of its team very impressive – and this despite the challenges of a market situation that has been shaped by the fallout of the corona pandemic and the war in Ukraine,” says Thorsten Sprenger. “I’m pleased that the Managing Directors and owner of the HÜBNER Group have placed their trust in me and given me the opportunity to take on this new and very interesting assignment.”
He is succeeding Heinz Bähr in this role, who has worked for GERSYS since November 2020 and is leaving the company at his own initiative to take on a new professional challenge. “Many thanks to Heinz Bähr who has made a very important contribution to the positive and successful development of GERSYS. We wish him every success in his upcoming professional activities and all the best in his personal life,” emphasizes Managing Director Kai Mentel.
